After the office I usually use to eat some easy and cheap snacks in the streets of Dhaka, so it may be Jhal Muri cost only 10 BDT or .08 USD, the snacks is so spicy, oily and can met your hunger. Well Jhal Muri is a traditional & remarkable snacks in the south eastern region of Asia specially in Bangladesh. Jhal Muri, here Jhal means something hot flavor, come from the green chilies. Muri it is like popcorn made from the corn, thus Muri is made from the Rice, you may call it Puffed Rice.
When this Muri is mixing well with the chopped green chilies, onions, mustard oil, tomatoes, coriander leaves and other Marsala's specially chicken soups, then its just ready to taste! Thus the most common street foods in Dhaka.

So a good Jhal Muri that is a combination of a good numbers of ingredients. The taste completely depend on the variety of ingredients and how they are using it. People are generally go for the one who can made it well. Muri man's secrecy is on the wide range of ingredients but what are those?

Last evening after office I went to Hatir Jheel a common place of Dhaka to hanging out. There I found a Jhal Muri man is shaking a little pot. That was mixing of Muri with the ingredients there I took all the images you are seeing in the post. He served me Jhal Muiri on a paper that's cone shaped. No spoon but no problem, he served a hard piece of paper that can be used as spoon and now then my mouth was watered, couldn't wait to taste. Hope you will enjoy it from the Jhal Muri man, sure.
